Post-harvest, farmers are vulnerable to storage losses due to mycotoxins, infestation, rodents or exposure to moisture/oxygen
Adding artificial preservatives is not an option for organic food growers
Vaculoc provides ultra-high vacuum technology to farmers to modernize this storage facility and:
reduce storage losses
increase shelf life of produce
profit from price fluctuations
Vaculoc technology relies on manual methods and does not need any machinery or electricity.
What is ultra-high vacuum technology? Why use it?
Ultra-high vacuum (UHV) technology generates vacuum pressure up to 0.00001 pascal and can exponentially increase the shelf life for agricultural produce
Current methods of agricultural storage are ineffective due to leakages or low vacuum pressure (for example, hermetic bags) or require heavy capital investment
Vauloc has developed affordable and accessible UHV technology for farmers to modernize their storage facility and exponentially increase shelf life of agricultural produce
How does ultra-high vacuum technology work?
Vaculoc flexible container has four components - flexible container, cap, armlock and hand pump
Flexible container is made of special patented polyethylene capable of withstanding pressure up to 0.00001 pascal
Once the container is capped and armlock is tightened, hand pump can be used to vacuum the container till it become hard like a brick
To reuse the container, simply remove the cap and armlock and dispense the contents
What is the return on investment (ROI) on Vaculoc flexible vacuum containers?
ROI on Vaculoc flexible vacuum container depends on:
Savings from reduction in storage losses
Profit earned by increasing shelf life of agricultural produce
Reusability of our flexible container increases the ROI as they could be used throughout the year for various agricultural products
Vaculoc flexible containers can last for nearly two years, provided they are used as per instructions and kept away from sharp edges.Â
In the event of any damage, users have the option to buy only the damaged component separately, instead of a whole new set which comprises (1) container (2) cap (3) armlock (4) hand pump
What items can be stored?
All dry items can be stored in the the flexible vacuum container except liquids, fine powders and items with sharp edges that could puncture the container.
Pulses, grains, cereals, seeds, whole spices
Roasted coffee beans, dry fruits and dry tea leaves
