What is ultra-high vacuum technology? Why use it?
- Currently, fewer technologies available for retailers/ kirana shops to reduce internal storage and wastage losses
- Cold storage remains an expensive option
- Traditional methods like metal or plastic containers, liner bags and jute bags are ineffective in increasing shelf life of food items and retaining aroma of products like tea, coffee, whole spices etc.

How does the Vaculoc technology work?
- Vaculoc’s technology uses four components - flexible container, cap, armlock and hand pump
- Flexible container is made of special patented polyethylene capable of withstanding pressure up to 0.00001 pascal
- Once the container is capped and armlock is tightened, hand pump can be used to vacuum the container till it become hard like a brick
- To reuse the container, simply remove the cap and armlock and dispense the contents

What items can be stored?
All dry items can be stored in the flexible vaccum container except liquids, fine powders and items with sharp edges that could puncture the container.
- Pulses, grains, cereals and whole spices
- Coffee beans and dry tea leaves
- Dried fruits and vegetables
- Ayurvedic herbs
- Processed food
What items cannot be stored?
Currently, the flexible vacuum storage containers are not designed for following items:
- Liquids
- Fine powders
- Items with sharp edges
- Anything above 50 degree Celsius
- Anything below -20 degree Celsius
