What is ultra-high vacuum technology? Why use it?
- Ultra-high vacuum (UHV) technology generates vacuum pressure up to 0.00001 pascal and can exponentially increase the shelf life for agricultural produce
- Current methods of agricultural storage are ineffective due to leakages or low vacuum pressure (for example, hermetic bags) or require heavy capital investment
- Vauloc has developed affordable and accessible UHV technology for farmers to modernize their storage facility and exponentially increase shelf life of agricultural produce
How does ultra-high vacuum technology work?
- Vaculoc flexible container has four components - flexible container, cap, armlock and hand pump
- Flexible container is made of special patented polyethylene capable of withstanding pressure up to 0.00001 pascal
- Once the container is capped and armlock is tightened, hand pump can be used to vacuum the container till it become hard like a brick
- To reuse the container, simply remove the cap and armlock and dispense the contents

In the event of any damage, users have the option to buy only the damaged component separately, instead of a whole new set which comprises (1) container (2) cap (3) armlock (4) hand pump
What items can be stored?
All dry items can be stored in the the flexible vacuum container except liquids, fine powders and items with sharp edges that could puncture the container.
- Pulses, grains, cereals, seeds, whole spices
- Roasted coffee beans, dry fruits and dry tea leaves
- Dry fruits
- Ayurvedic herbs
- Processed food
What should not be stored?
Currently, the flexible vacuum storage container is not designed for following items:Â
- Liquids
- Fine powders
- Items with sharp edges
- Anything above 50 degree Celsius
- Anything below -20 degree Celsius
